I have never heard of it because I am not a programmer and I can't write
a single line of code.

Regardless, I looked at
/usr/share/gnucash/guile-modules/gnucash/report/invoice.scm
and all I managed to come up with is that "f" and "t" are the ones that
make the difference.

so:

  (gnc:register-inv-option
    (gnc:make-simple-boolean-option
     (N_ "Display") (N_ "Invoice Notes")
"tb" (N_ "Display the invoice notes?") #f)) <---

Looks like it works exactly as expected.

Can you somehow make gnucash read invoice.scm and
load/link/take/read/whatever parameters also form users personal
"my_invoice_blaa.scm" if it exists and is "active"?

if my_invoice_blah.scm exist, read and override defaults in invoice.scm

Thank you.
