Hi.
Generally, if you get a successful response from gnc-fq-dump, you'll get
prices within Gnucash. Your troubles seem to indicate that there's something
not right with how you've set up the securities with the Security Editor.
Maybe the Symbol/Abbreviation is incorrect, or the source you've selected
isn't working? Have you tried to set up a test security that is one of the
"biggies", like MSFT with the source "USA" ?

One thing people are going to ask is what version of things you are dealing
with. Gnucash, Perl, Finance::Quote and all that stuff. There have been some
issues with recent versions of things on different operating systems.

As for the second question, yes, Gnucash will get prices for any thing it
can, and only warn you about the ones that it fails on. It definitely does
not choke on the first one and quit.
