strange install problem

I don't have Windows 8, so I am not sure, but in Windows 7 and earlier
c:\Program files is a hidden folder,  In Windows explorer one needs to
change the default to show hidden folders.  There is probably a similar
situation in W8, but you will need to find out the details from your
windows help or another user how to cross that bridge.
