Won't let me enter expenses or income prior to the date I downloaded software?

Hi Kevin,

Welcome to the list.

I'm not aware of any such limitation on dates, indeed, I can't see how GC 
could know when you downloaded it...

I don't have any direct suggestions to help you yet, but I'm sure others on 
the list will be able to - however, any help will need more specific 
information.

Which GC version (where did you download it from?) and which OS are you using?

What _excatly_ happens - does GC crash, pop up a warning (what does it say), 
or just ignore your date selection?  How are you trying to select the date - 
typing, using the + and - keys, selecting from a calender etc?

Oh, and also, make sure you reply this to the list, not just me personally - 
although I'm off to bed soon here in the UK, there are plenty of participants 
on this list in other timezones!
