Tutorial and Concepts Guide closes

prefacing with an apology: I am a new user and do not mean to bother anyone.

When accessing the Tutorial and Concepts Guide, and the Contents menu items
within Help. both windows will close within 10 seconds.

Is this a bug?  I have spent over an hour researching this possibility prior
to this post.  I can not find this issue reported anywhere.

GnuCash: 2.4.15
CentoOS: 6.6
GNOME: 2.28.2
