Running separate accounts in the same Gnucash program

It sounds long and tedious, but it's worth it. I ALWAYS told my
clients to keep their personal and business accounts separate. Of course
few listened, until I started to charge them extra for the time I spent
segregating their business income and expenses from their personal
income and expenses.

Although I am not an accounting professional I strongly second that
advice. It only looks like you would save time entering data if all kept
in the same file (time saved when a transaction would be BETWEEN the
personal and business books). Trust me, I was a professional at
"debugging" (when the programers were stumped). Solving even ONE mistake
will cost you back much more than the time you were saving in little
bits and you will sometimes make mistakes.
