GnuCash 2.6.8 hangs on startup on OSX 10.11 (El Capitan)

Dear All,

I have upgraded my OSX to the freshly released 10.11 and since cannot start GnuCash 2.6.8 anymore. It simply hangs on the splash screen and tip. Has anyone else experienced this, or is anyone using the same setup without problems? I suspect there might be an issue with this new “rootless” approach and a change on the system’s paths (for instance, some paths needed updating for TeX to work again), but I am nowhere clever enough to know where to look or what to do.

I have re-downloaded and re-installed GnuCash, but only used the pre-compiled program rather than compiling myself.


Any help?
