change text label on columns

I want to customize & change the column text or labels at the top of columns.(esp. when i click on a specific account) so where it reads : date, num, description, transfer r, deposit, withdrawal, balance. I want: date, name, description, amount.
I'd also like to customize & change the column text or labels at the top of columns in general ledgers.
What & How Do I edit /change the program to get what i want?
