Invoice VAT booked to wrong account

What version GnuCash ?

Are the entries in Business / Sales Tax Tables pointing to your 
Liabilities:VAT account or the Equity one ?

If the tax tables are pointing at the wrong account I don't think 
UnPost and Post is going to fix it.
