Wiki entries around transaction importing

Hello, GnuCash users and wiki contributors:

As I mentioned in a recent post to gnucash-user, I recently began a
spurt of transaction importing, after a long pause. I got re-acquainted
with the importer for OFX transactions, and its Bayesian matching
capabilities. A couple of things didn't go smoothly for me, so I'd like
to see how I can turn that into contributions to the relevant parts of
GnuCash.

I think there might be room for improvement of Wiki entries around
transaction importing, Bayesian import mapping, and the underlying
GnuCash code and file format structures.

The only relevant content I found on the Wiki was the above FAQ, and
this article "Bayes": <http://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Bayes>.

"Bayes" has some interesting information and a helpful Perl script,
contributed by YeOldHinnerk last year. I'd like to do some writing and
refactoring here. I'd like to record some things I found out about
GnuCash's importing, about Bayesian import mapping, and about the
underlying GnuCash code and file format structures.

I'd like to a create a wiki page "Importing transactions" to be a
top-level pointer to details like "Bayes", to tools, and the underlying
code and structures.

When that is ready, I'll propose that "Importing transactions" get a
link from the wiki root page, <http://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/GnuCash>.

I get the impression that the contribution model for the wiki is to be
bold, and edit content pages, and to discuss on -user instead of on wiki
Talk pages. So that's what I'm doing. If anyone has advice about how to
structure and guide this writing, please let me know. (I'm leaving
YeOldHinnerk a note on their wiki user page too.) After a bit I'll get
started. There will be certainly be room for improvements or
corrections after the first text is written.

There are other things I hope to contribute, but I'll put them in
separate messages.
Thank you for your guidance. See you on the wiki.
