Error saying Tax Invoice template can't be found

Did you change the GUID of the report when you replaced it?
If you did change the GUID, did you keep the original report in place?
Did you have an "saved" report based on the original report?

It sounds like you changed the GUID, but replaced/removed the original
report, but left behind a saved report based on the original.
