Beginners question, confused between real bank accounts and gnucash accounts

I have separate files for business and personal.  Monthly I collect all my personal business expenses and fill out an expense reimbursement form and submit it to the business for reimbursement.  I have appropriate business expense and income accounts in my personal books to track the aforementioned.  In the US you need to keep Meals/food separate as 50% is treated as an owner distribution.
