Unreconcile Bank Transactions

I am completely new to accounting and have just discovered that I have made
numerous posting errors.  I can change these entries, but I get a similar
warning, saying that any changes in a reconciled split transaction may make
future reconciliation difficult.  Guess I am in damage-limitation mode,
trying to avoid the obvious solution, which is simply to start again and
re-enter all my transactions.
