Associating Two Existing Transactions

Hello all,

I have just set up Gnucash 2.6.13 on OS X, by downloading all of my
transactions for the year from my various financial institutions. The
problem is, the transactions are not associated with their corresponding,
opposite transactions (e.g., paying my credit card bill results ni a credit
to my credit card account, and a debit to my checking account). Instead,
they are both associated with the "Imbalance" account.

Is there a way to associate the two transactions with each other? Or do I
have to associate one of the entries (say, the credit to my credit card
account) with the other account, then delete the other transaction (in this
example, the one in my checking account)?
