Just an idea for a work around for getting your invoice printed.

Use the "Export as PDF..." feature on the Print Invoice dialog (version
2.6.12 is what I've got).  Then open the resulting pdf in your
pdf reader (Adobe Reader or Foxit or some such) and print it from there.

If the export as PDF feature fails too, it might help to know towards
troubleshooting the issue.
