I didn't say that it shouldn't mention perl at all, just that it shouldn't have a separate "install perl" step. The "Install Online Quote Retrieval" program will install Strawberry Perl unless it finds that the user has already installed either ActiveState or Strawberry, in which case it will skip to running gnc-fq-update.

Yes, the section could say that.
