QFX import problem and work around, possible bug or new feature?

Chris,
I hope that you are talking about the GnuCash developers as I strongly
doubt that the Chase developers would ever even know of the problem.
 
FWIW - I've got an awk script that strips the offending lines from
the QFX file.  Also, there was a simplification of the script
provided (I apologize but I forgot the contributor's name, but then
I'm an old fart).
