Hi Gerald.
You are misunderstanding.
View -> Filter By -> Date -> Show All or Set a range to show, starting on
Start Date and ending on End Date.
I see nothing in the filter dialog that would make me think the view filter
would *exclude* a range, rather than limit to the set range.
and when you say "the transaction failed", what you mean is "I entered the
transaction correctly, and GC recorded it correctly, but my view of the
register hid half of the transaction from me ( because I told GC to only show
transactions prior to the date of the new one I entered)"
