Locking transactions after a reconcile?

I just tried to modify a reconciled transaction and yes, GC gave me a
warning. I originally got suspicious as I had a previously reconciled
transaction (from an earlier month) have its date changed (at some point, I
don't know when) to this month and didn't see how that could have happened
without a warning, but of course, your answers indicate it possible.

For now, my GC setup looks like it is functioning properly.

Thanks!
