Date ranges on General Reports/General Journal?

Hello!

I'd like a list of all transactions from 2016, and the report "General
Reports" (GnuCash 2.6.15, Windows) provides exactly what I want - but
without any way to filter by date, as in all other reports. Why is this?

The report is called "General Journal" here
https://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Using_GnuCash#General_Journal and in Swedish
it is called "Transaktionslista" (GnuCash 2.6.12, Ubuntu).
