Flickering in reports

I've been using gnucash for a couple of years and this is my first problem.  The newest version of the software has damaged my multicolumn reports so that I cannot see them. They flicker endlessly.  I can't refresh or see any of the information about the reports either. Some of the single reports do this as well, but it stops quickly.  Does anyone else have the same problem and any ideas about how to fix it? Thanks.  Ingrid
