Reports: Sorting Cash flow Report

You right, I was not clear enough.

I'm using Libreoffice. I was referring to the number of manipulations
to get a new report using a spreadsheet: copy/paste, removing the
currency code to sort numbers, sorting the 2 blocks one by one.

This is better than nothing, but would be great to have it directly in
   Gnucash.

I've copied the Cash-flow report in ~/.gnucash, tried to replace the
   sorting line (line 227):

             ;; (set! money-out-accounts (sort money-out-accounts
   account-full-name<?))
             (set! money-out-accounts (sort money-out-accounts
   s-report-value<?))

   But this does not work.

I got the following the report page: "Report Error/
An error occurred while running the report."
And in the logs: "ERROR: In procedure module-lookup: Unbound variable:
   s-report-value<? "

It seems I'm not using the correct variable. May be someone could help
   identifying the correct variable?

I honestly don’t understand your reply.

Are you having trouble saving? The “Export” button on the toolbar will
initiate this process. I find that I need to add an html ending on the
   filename

Are you having trouble opening this in your spreadsheet? I have Excel,
and I can simply open the html in Excel, and the file parses in
directly. If your spreadsheet doesn’t allow this, then you can try
highlighting the data in the GnuCash report window (Select All) and
pasting into an empty worksheet. Both these methods work for me.

Once the data is in your spreadsheet, the possibilities are limited
   only by your spreadsheet program.

Or is there some other box in which you are trapped?

   Thanks David.

Sadly this tricks does not work out of the box.

   I'm considering another option...

I would simply save the basic report as html and open the html in a
spreadsheet. Scheme and I don't get along.

   Thanks.

Is there anyone who could drive me with the report code?

I managed to create a custom report using cash-flow.scm but I'm lost in
sorting code with Guile. Could anyone help?

Alternatively, is there a way to export as CSV to that I could create
   my own report?

   Thanks.

Unfortunately not. You would have to rewrite the report code to allow that, or f
ind a different report that you could tweak to achieve your desired results. Off
hand, I don’t know what that report would be, but others might have suggestions.

Dear All,

Is there a way to sort the Cash Flow report by "amount"?
It would be helpful in order to quickly see where money comes form and where goe
s to!

Cheers,
Didier.
