Hi David,

I can't reproduce this on my Fedora machine with the development version of gnucash.

Feel free to file a bug however so this can be tracked.

I saw a similar enhancement request [1] to add subtotalling per day. Christian Stimming noted 
on this bug "a good proposal but not completely trivial". Making it even more generic is 
presumably "even less trivial". But I haven't studied the code involved.
