Confused on a split deposit transaction with cash back

Hello Michael,

The way I look at this is that 1700.61 is the result.  But lots of things
happened before you got that result.  You were paid a certain amount.  Then
taxes came out.  Maybe health insurance.  Then your bonus.  Then you took
out 100.

This is why there are split transactions.  1700.61 is what goes into your
checking account (typically), but all of those other amounts would go into
their accounts as well.

Take a look in the tutorial / concepts guide under accounts and under
splits.  It's pretty easy, but if you've never thought of it in this way,
it takes a few to get your mind around it.
