I have the setup which i think is correct but could be wrong.
assets: bank, paypal, equipment.
expenses: fees, stock purchase etc etc
Income: sales, cash sales etc etc
When I imported the transactions i selected "balance affecting" per the
direction on the csv > qif converter that i used. However the import didnt
qo as i expected, Most of the transaction split, fees into expenses:fees
(This part seems as expected) and the balance of the paypal transaction went
into a new account for each of the transactions.
The import doesn't say whether its income or expense so I am considering
setting a temp account for the second entry. In doing so import into
assets:paypal (where i can if its expense or income) and then select the
assets:temp account as the second part so i end up with a paypal <> temp
account transaction initially.
The problem with that is i have to manual adjust the import and then
manually adjust the transactions in paypal, can anybody suggest a better way
to do this?
