Importing ScottTrade data

I've been trying without success to be able to access data from my
Scotttrade accounts.  I previously asked about this on

but was not able to even connect to the server, let alone log in.

Has anyone been able download data directly from Scotttrade?  I'd be
interested to know what settings you used if so.

The only other option failing that is to download files from ScottTrade.
 However the only format they support on their web page is .CSV.  I've
confirmed that with Scotttrade tech support, and I can't get the files
to import using the GnuCash CSV importer.  It reads the file and says
there's nothing to import.  Are there any special settings required to
get the data to import this way?
