[GNC] Unable to open new version

You need to solve the ‘installation’ issue first. It should copy over and launch normally without bypassing GateKeeper. Not only will you have some issues opening your file, you may see some issues with Dock icons. There have been threads on both issues on this list.

The app IS signed by a recognized developer. If GateKeeper is telling you it isn’t, you need to verify the app itself. Perhaps you have a corrupt download? Where did you get it from? (should have been GnuCash.org which sends you to SourceForge) Are you copying the app to /Applications or /user/your-user/Applications? (and *not* trying to run it from the dmg)
