I have two laptops, one with a spinny drive and the other with an SSD. In 2.6.19, it seems to take each of them pretty close to a minute to open program + data file. (The data file is compressed, 120K, this year's transactions only.) And I just tried it on my SSD desktop at work, and it was very little faster, if faster at all.
