Ok, fair enough.

The build complains it can't find glib-2.0.pc and friends. A search on
https://packages.ubuntu.com/search?
suite=bionic&section=all&arch=any&keywords=glib-2.0.pc&searchon=contents
shows these files are provided by package
libglib-2.0-dev

Try installing that and rerun configure.
