This part is not quite right. It's true leaving a report open is one way of 
dealing with this.
However you can also save a preset of options using the menu option "Save 
report configuration" ("Rapportconfiguratie opslaan" in Dutch), close the 
report and recall it at any time from "Saved report configurations" 
("Opgeslagen rapportconfiguraties" in Dutch). None of the reoprt options in a 
saved report configuration is volatile.
