As I said, If you look at the date stamps embedded in the backup file names
you will be able to see in what order you edited things, so you can see if
the track is continuous down the original file, then switches to the new
file and stays there, in which case the new file should have everything in
it. If the timestamps of the two file tracks are interleaved then you have
a bigger problem.
