[GNC] gnucash 3.6 -- reports -- "URL cannot be shown"

A little more information:

gnucash leaves gnucash.trace in /tmp when this problem occurs.

gnucash.trace:

* 17:27:51  WARN <gnc.gui> [gnc_load_app_icons()] No icon named
'gnucash-icon' found. Some gui elements may be missing their icons
* 17:28:43 ERROR <gnc.html> [webkit_load_failed_cb()] WebKit load of
gnc-register:acct-guid=63bc81e71683b3f06cc2a148e5e02321# failed due to
URL cannot be shown
* 17:28:43 ERROR <> guint
webkit_uri_response_get_status_code(WebKitURIResponse*): assertion
'WEBKIT_IS_URI_RESPONSE(response)' failed
* 17:28:43 ERROR <gnc.html> [webkit_resource_load_failed_cb()] Load of
resource at gnc-register:acct-guid=63bc81e71683b3f06cc2a148e5e02321#
failed with error URL cannot be shown and status code 0.

I sure hope someone can help with this -- according to the
documentation, all the dependency requirements for 3.6 should be met.
