The answer to subject.
I found a solution in the transaction journal. As I already mentioned I have
made a new head for job-related expenses named "COGS". From now on, I
started to put job numbers in the memo when posting bills. In the
transaction report I select all COGS accounts and in the filter, I put job
number and it worked for me. So I can check total expenses on any job as
well as to check if I forget to post any bill or expense.

I am a mold tool manufacturer and I am using GNUCash for some years. I felt
this shortcoming for years. Otherwise, GNUCash is good enough for me. Job
costing is not so important but tracking job expenses is crucial. As I have
to do all work by myself due to the small size of my business, sometimes I
miss some bills to post and sometimes post it twice.
