[GNC] Gnucash could not complete a critical test ---- libdbi library check error

I have received the above error a couple of times in the last 3 months,
clicking close on the error message opens a new unsaved file.  Closing that
and clicking the Gnucash shortcut opens my current file as expected.
Strange as I've only ever used the xml backend and the bug the message
quotes is as old as the hills?

Running Version: 4.2, Build ID: 4.2+(2020-09-06) on macOS Big Sur 11.1
