Let's run a budget report.

Reports, Budget, Budget Report
Edit, Report Options (or press Options button), General: Budget - Annual
Budget, Accounts: Account Display Depth - 3, Account - Select all Expenses
and Income accounts only, Display: Show column with Totals - Tick, Apply

File, Export, Export report - Budget2004.html, Export
Opens fine in browser.

Let's bring it into LibreOffice Calc under Win10

Open LibreOffice Calc (don't double-click or it will open in Writer).
File, Open Budget2014.html, Import options: Detect special numbers - Tick,
OK
Select all cells, Format, Cells, Numbers Format code - #,###.00, OK
Select Budget columns, Change font colour to Dark Grey
Select Row 3, Format, Cells, Numbers Format code - mmm yy, OK
Format Rows 3 and 4 as Bold
Select cell C5, View, Freeze Rows and Columns
File, Save As, [default filename should be OK], Save

There are lots of budgeting possibilities in a spreadsheet. openpyxl could
probably reformat the file.
