The various reports are currently in the process of being improved, and I
cannot say what your issue may be, although historically it has been
important to carefully select accounts to be reported on and levels of
sub-accounts to show.  If you have stocks you need to be careful about
pricing them in reports.

I have figured out how to enter split transactions so I believe I can put
that issue behind me.

I still have an issue with the Income Statement not picking up all the
expenses I have recently entered. I have double checked the account names.
They are in the form of Expenses:Parent Name:Child Name. Could be a
settings issue but I am not sure.

GnuCash is a very high quality product and once you overcome this hurdle
you will find it to work quite well.

If you read the sections of manual described in other responses to your
original email then follow Derek 's suggestions you should have excellent
