[GNC] Help - entering opening balances

You can enter an opening balance in the dialog when you create a new
account.

If the account is already created, you can give it an opening balance by
creating a transaction.

Debit:Assets:Bank Account
Credit:Equity

I don't understand. What transactions, exactly, were created by you and
by GC?
