[GNC] unable to change account type to "stock"

Check the Account type of the parent of the account you are trying to change
to stock. It should be in the Asset subtree and should be of *type* Asset.
If not you won't get the correct choices for the account type. In the
dropdown list Stock is a fairway down so you may have to scroll to reach it.
