When I strike problems and cannot finish a reconciliation job, the
following are things to try

Stop
Don't save whatever you did in the last time span which you can't sort
out.
Never press the button on the left "Balance".

When time permits, then I will start with a week or other small time
span. It doesn't have to be the end of the time on your statement.
This way it is much easier to find problems.

The statement will usually have a running balance so it is not
difficult to use that for the ending balance for the 7th of March, 14th
March etc.
