[GNC] Reconcile Reset Please

Thank-you for the reply, Derek. Here are some better details.

1. I had problems with my checking account - probably because I added
other accounts that fed into/out of that account after I had already
reconciled the checking account.

2. At that point, after researching, I felt it best to "re-do" my
checking account. The reconciliation process was hosed, and I felt the
only option was to start over. To do that (and maybe this is the next
part of my problem), I renamed the checking account (e.g., from
"Checking Account" to "Ooops Checking Account).

3. I then added a new checking account with the same name as before.

4. I then imported 1.5 years worth of transactions.

5. After importing I replaced all payroll transactions with split
transactions that I copied from the old account ("Ooops Checking
Account"). Could this be part of my problem?

6. After doing all that, and after successfully reconciling all other
accounts, I attempted to do my first reconcile on the checking account
(for the first block of transactions). Unfortunately, that reconcile
wizard came up with -54,257.19 for a starting balance. Ugh! Doomed
again!
