It's a good idea to bookmark the FAQ so that you can check it before
posing a query. People will usually answer queries in the mailing list
even if they are FAQs, but the advantage to checking the FAQ first is
that you get one clear answer rather than several answers that may have
some inconsistencies or leave out useful information.

P.S. You might want to fix the configuration of your mail program. In
place of your name on outgoing messages, it is putting just a "." dot.
