[GNC] Account Register not Populating

An update on my experience:
I am running Release 5.9 in Windows 10 with a data file on a USB key. For
some reason it is not stable and it hangs and/or crashes from time to
time. It did it again this morning. Since I wanted to go back to a backup
from yesterday in order to recover I decided that I needed to see whether I
could use the link in the About screen to recover a copy of the user
configuration as was discussed here yesterday. I thought I had shot myself
in the foot by using GnuCash to Save As the backup to the desired
filename. Luckily, the link took me to the directory that contained the
[almost] current .gcm file that had been in use before the crash so I was
able to recover it to use with the recovered data file.

That link makes it an almost trivial exercise to find and back up that
stuff from time to time. Thanks to the developers for that new feature!
