Ian — I tried to go to gnucash.org just now to see if I could replicate your issue.  Funny thing, gnucash.org is not responding at the moment.  So for your issue - I believe John's solution is the best — get it from SourceForge.net.

As for the gnucash.org server — my belief is it being down is just temporary for now.  Once it comes back up — I will do a test to see if I have any issues downloading.  I suspect that their could be some traffic issues right now or the server is getting busy and this could also be the reason your download was not completing correctly.

Unconfirmed usually means that the download did not finish.  I would try to download a second time.  If you continue to receive this unconfirmed message, then that would mean the download is not completing for some reason.  Try again and let us know if you continue to get unconfirmed.   -- Ken

I went to gnucash.org<http://gnucash.org> and downloaded gnucash 5.12 for windows 11, but the
file that appeared in my downloads is called unconfirmed 637997.cfdownload,
not an exe file.  How do I download a file I can use to install gnucash?
