[GNC] downloading 5.12 for windows 11

As someone else has rightfully pointed out, gnucash is not considered a "trusted file" by your browser.  As such, it will not allow you to download or keep it unless you explicitly tell the browser to do so.  I have sent you specific instructions on how to that within the browser (the example I sent was for the latest version of EDGE).  If you are using CHOME, the instructions will be different — but the concept is the same.  You must explicitly tell the browser that you want to save the "untrusted" file.  Absent you telling the browser specifically that you want to keep  it— the file will not download or be kept to your computer.   This is a safety precaution put in all new browsers to prevent people from downloading viruses or other unscrupulous files.

Unconfirmed usually means that the download did not finish.  I would try
to download a second time.  If you continue to receive this unconfirmed
message, then that would mean the download is not completing for some
reason.  Try again and let us know if you continue to get unconfirmed.   --

I went to gnucash.org<http://gnucash.org> and downloaded gnucash 5.12 for windows 11, but the
file that appeared in my downloads is called unconfirmed 637997.cfdownload,
not an exe file.  How do I download a file I can use to install gnucash?
