[GNC] Account Total not matching Account Balance

Does account Foo have any subaccounts (child accounts)? On the Accounts
pane, for example, I have an account called Investment Income, with
subaccounts for Dividends, Interest, and so on. The total for Investment
Income on the Accounts pane equals the sum of the totals for those child
accounts. But when I open the Investment Income account, its balance is
zero because there have never been any transactions in that account.

Just as a test, I made a transaction directly in the Investment Income
account, then went back to the Accounts pane. As I expected, the total
shown on the Accounts pane equaled the balance of the Investment Income
account plus the balances of the subaccounts. Does that sound like what
you are experiencing?
