[GNC] need help fixing a user entry error

Do as you propose. Delete one and edit the other to point correctly. Then just redo the last reconciliation for each account over again. In other words, if the last reconciliation was on July 31st for $515.15, reconcile again for July 31st with an amount of $515.15, and select the newly-altered transaction, and it should all balance.
