That is not the reality. It is an old platform with issues without a
reasonable migration path. This is exactly why many old forums are archived
when they are ultimately upgraded.

Is updating https://lists.gnucash.org/search/?idxinfo=gnucash-user
achievable in
the interim?

Contrary to Liz's experience with duckduckgo I don't have success with
Google.
