Thanks, but I stumbled on 
https://global.morningstar.com/en-gb/tools/screener. Set a few filters 
(Domicle under Other, and keyword HSBC) and one can easily find the ISIN 
for "HSBC Global Strategy Balanced Acc C".

Again, sometimes it depends on what quote source. Just the ISIN (with no 
".L" suffix) will work from "Morningstar, GB" and FTfunds as they are UK 
based. Yahoo, Google, FinanceAPI (and others) are primarily US based, 
hence the ".L" suffix (abbreviation for London Exchange) may be needed.
