Stephen,
There's really nothing special about this account. All my many other
accounts (with similar properties and under the same parent account) are
all okay. It's just this one specific account with the problem.
But anyway, here's the specifics:
=====
Account name: Bay View CD
Account code: <blank>
Description: Tom's Bay View CD
Parent account: Banking <FYI, no other sub-accounts have this problem>
Account type: Bank
Security/currency: USD (US Dollar)
Smallest fraction: Use Commodity Value
Account color: <blank>
Notes: <blank>
Placeholder: <unchecked>
Hidden: <checked>
Auto interest transfer: <unchecked>
Tax related: <unchecked>
Opening balance: <unchecked>
Higher Balance Limit: <blank>
Lower Balance Limit: <blank>
Include sub accounts: <unchecked>
Current balance of the account: $0.00
=====
Also FYI, I tried moving this account to a different parent account.
Same problem. I also tried making this account a top-level account.
Same problem. I tried renaming the account. Same problem. I tried
unchecking the Hidden option, and then re-checking it. Same problem.
I've never run into anything like this before with GnuCash; and I'm just
wondering if anyone else has come across anything similar.
