[GNC] Migrating data

If I remember correctly, Peachtree is the same as Sage line 50.
The 'database' for Sage was a real pig's ear and could cause problems if
the PC crashed when writing data - especially a networked version.
You would likely be able to export the Banking, customer and supplier list
as a CSV and import those into Gnucash, and probably the Chart of Accounts.
You might be able to export the closing balances of banks, customers and
suppliers too, as separate CSV's.
The transactions data might be more tricky, in fact I probably wouldn't go
there.
My suggestion would be to export the Banks, Customers and Suppliers
details, the closing balances of those, the COA - or set up a new COA
within Gnucash.
Then import those details into Gnucash and start afresh, keeping Peachtree
and it's data for reference.
Other Gnucash users may have other solutions that I have forgotten or don't
know of, but
my experience of Sage and its quirks over 20 years of using it makes me
think that my solution
may save a lot of wasted time and grief.
